no,, it has no taper or any threads to tighten it up and the 70 axle sleeves slide right on,,, i went back where i got it for some more digging and guess what i found ,,, THE HUBS,,, now we are talking!!! i bought it as a stock 70 axle,,, not knowing anything different,, when i got to work is when i saw the difference,,,,,,,,,, so now i have 2 unusual pieces,,, :oto: :oto: :oto: i looked for an hour to maybe find the axle sleeves too but no luck,,,,, there are no markings on the hubs or the axle,,,, so i guess we will never know,,,,, i have never seen any hubs like these either,,,,,,

i have hubs just like those on my 82 250r roller. perfect fit on the nasa axle. fit the ams steel wheels with minor modifacation. got them from mike from long island. they are dura blue hubs i believe.

If there isn't any threads, how do the hubs stay on the axle? If those are durablue and they still make them, I want some, maybe several pairs. I will have to check my nos nasa 185s axle now. Very, Very Cool by the way. If I lived out West, I would be broke.

Nope, the NASA axle is different. Maybe NASA or Durablue made extended axles for the atc70. I have a pair of machined axle covers that I bought off ebay. All you would have to do is make them longer. I thought I bought them off the guy who was making the sterdy exhaust, but, I can't remember. They would look way cool polished out though. You must find out if Durablue made atc70 axles and if they would make them again.
