Yamaha 225 timing

Anybody know how to set the timing on a Yamaha 225?? I aligned the mark on the cam with the mark on the head when the "T" mark on the flywheel was lined up with the dash line in the hole on the cover.Thinf has 100psi comp and won't even fire at all.I know I have spark, it should do somthing.

the keyway in the cam should be pointing up, and there are several marks on the flywheel, line up the one with a T next to it.

thats the way i have it set....weird.i wonder why it won't pop off??:confused:

have you tried pooring alittle gas in the spark plug hole ?

i know when i redid the top end on my ERN i did the same thing as you did lined up the marks, and first pull it fired right up.. It sounds to me you have a fuel problem, or you could have a valve problem. it's hard to tell. OH speaking of valve did you do any work on them or anything valve related beside the timing issue?
