Has anyone really ever jumped a 225dx very high? i know the suspension is a little soft, but will it all hold up, like the frame will stay in one piece?

well, if no one knows, do you guys think it will hold up? I'm not talking really huge jumps, but big ones

I was jumping one a few years back, and busted the drive shaft yoke. It had to have been in just the position when I landed to bust the way that it did.

humm the ytm 200 has seen some air. not much cause I dont want to beat it all to hell. I would think it would hold up good to 3-4 feet of air. By no means clearing 75ft table tops or anything. lol

I have taken the 225 about 4 feet off the ground a couple times.Jumping these 225 exsesivly is not a good idea.

DO NOT DO IT!! I REPEAT STAY AWAY FROM JUMPING A DX. My freind was going around a lap and he hit a whoop at about 15mph got about 2 feet of air and when he landed all you heard was snap! Now he has a nice cracked swing arm in 3 different spots. The swing arm is not strong enough exspcially consitering its age. Also its not going to be a walk in the park to put a new one on either.

I explained it to my buddy Joey like this when he asked me if he could jump his Kawasaki Bayou like I do the 250r.. Most utility minded atvs are heavy and have mediocre suspension, kinda like an elephant.

An elephant can't really jump, or should we say, they only ever jump once because almost guaranteed that if they did jump, they'd break a leg.

So, you're DX will jump, but you most likely will break something quickly.
Enjoy the DX as a trail and mud machine. They're great bikes for stuff like that. Better than the bigreds in my opinion but I don't want to start any arguments.
