I have a ytm 225 1986 in perfect shape, a guys with a 1986 atc 350x want to exchange the two trikes, but the problem is her trike is in very bad shape...the tank is rusty at a place , seat is in bad shape , the guys have shaft béring and the swing-am béring(im not sure if its béring or boushing) the tire seems to be used
rear fender is completly scrap but dront is brand new . Light fender look ok.
i think he dont have skid plate. He tell me the hose of from the base of the engine to the head (probably the hose of the oil cooler) is finish and he lost oui by this ose.one of the bolt for hold the exhaust at the engine cylinder is broken (just one)

He said me the machine dont pump oil and no problem with fire. The machine start good.Oh and he said me the rear suspension make a noize ( some sound when he crush it) sorry again for my bad grammar :cry:

hmm i would seriously consider it, 350x's are amazing bikes from what i hear, and very rare here. just put some money into it and restore it! that's my opinion.

Oh and Look the frame the guys saaid me its a 1986 and he have 6 speeds but the frame is square normally 1986 isnt supposed to be round ???

I dunno if make a good deal or no ? The rear disk and all the kit confuse me alot I think i will have problem to find that caliper and all that the guys not sure he have it !

I wanna sell my 225 for 1100 can dollar and the guys wanna buy me the yam but i need to sell his 350x he said me he wanna sell it for 1400 can dollar

take the cash and maybe a few hunderd more and find the sport 3 wheeler you want in the condition you want.

unless you are very willing to work on the 350x i would keep the 225... it looks very good and will last a long time.... you may discover new problems with the 350x that you don't want to get involved in... your choice though...

and the noise you hear with the rear shock... is probably just the bushing in the front of the swingarm squeeking.... its no big deal.. a little oil on it and it'll go away..

those 350x's are expensive up in canada.


you better trade him for youe yamaha and run.

3 wheelers are easy to fix dont work about brakes and plastic fenders.

that is so cheap and easy to fix they would not even enter my mind.

That is one rough looking X. But it is still an X. I would trade, put some time/money into it, and never look back. 350x's are great trikes. Good luck.

DO IT!!!!, you won't regret it, it is a great bike, and i have a feeling that since it is a honda, it will last you a good run(if you take care of it), and as far as your yamaha goes, it looks like your the kind of person you takes care of their toys. as far as im concerned, its not in that bad of shape, just a little TLC, sounds like fun to me!seriously! it's worth it. pretty damn fast too!!!!:D

Well, if it were me I would trade, BUT, it looks and sounds like a big project. I'm not sure how much experiance you have working on trikes, and I"m sure you will find other things wrong with it once you start tearing it down. Be careful, don't get in over your head. :beer

trade for the 350x, dont think twice about it! get it QUICK before the idiot changes his mind
