Has anyone ever herd of a jemco pipe. I won the pipe that was on ebay and I am just wondering if anyone knows how it performs. Also this might be a stupid question but how can you make an 86 tri-z handle as good as a 250r, As far as quick turning and stuff. Any info would help.

Thanks Denn

Jemco is a small pipe manufacter located in Texas. They have been around since the 70's. All of there pipes are handmade for custom applications. Old MX downpipes and special exhausts for flattrack motorcycles are there domain. I have spoken to them in the past and are very knowledgable and friendly. I did not know that they ever built and ATV pipe. But with their ability, anything's possible. I hope it works well for you.

The best handling improvement you can do is to slide the forks up in the mounts by an additional 2", run a 23" tire in the front, and run 22" in the rear. A lot of people like to blame the Z's handling on the location and weight of the gas tank, but its real problem is that it rides like a chopper, and raising the rear and lowering the front shifts the weight and center of gravity towards the front. Also the Z has longer wheelbase, and if you want to really get serious, a shortened swingarm by about 2" will help. Your still left with the problem of not enough rake on the frontend so as GMan said, itll never handle like an R, but you can improve it greatly by changing the weight distribution. Im also going to get some prgressive springs for the front forks out of denniskirk, which should help with the nosediving is does during heavy braking, but I wont have an opinion on them until Ive tried them.
