choke prob?

i tried my choke for the first time in a while today( a month or so) the motor was cold and when i had the choke on, it would make a putt noise, and the rpm would go down, then the engine would die. is this normal on a warm day? if i had it on full choke, it would rev up then die. on both settings, high rpm was fine, with the same power, but idle was all pingy and putty

the choke worked fine in the winter. could my trike be too rich for the weather? i think it is because when i go to stop, sometimes the engine will rev way down, then go back up to normal, also the plug is black

found the prob. the whole choke piston thingy was loose and came off, letting air in.
