I am about to start on my 84 tecate project and i was wondering if a swinger off of a 86 will fit it.Also i have 2 inch wheel spacers for the 84 axle hubs but the bolt pattern is larger on the 86 hubs. Will the hubs off of the 84 axle fit the splines on the 86 axle?.....Planing a riding trip this weekend with a few family members who also ride 3 wheelers...Will post pics.....

*4 hubs won't fit an 86 axle! 84 hubs 13 splines, 86 24 splines.

yeah, i dont think theres much of anything that is interchangeable between the 84-85 model and the 86-87 models.

If you use the 86 swingarm you will need to have the dogbone link mount cut off and rewelded in the right place. Its aluminum so keep that in mind.

Nope. To run a wide axle? Well nobody makes a wide axle and as far as I know nothing from other bikes fit. Your only chance is offset wheels, wheel spacers or to find a used aftermarket axle on ebay.

Thanks for the replys.....I have 2 84 swingers both with bad bearings and 1 off of an 86 that is in very good condition.I really dont want to have to weld on it so i guess i will be ordering a rebuild kit for the 84 swinger.....Thanks for the help and keeping me from wasting alot of time trying to get the 86 swinger to fit......
