Since I figured on doing upgrades as I rebuild my R, I decided I needed an adjustable front brake lever.
I scored one from a later model YZ.
The only problem I had was that it would flop forward, because it did'nt have the stopper like the stock one.
I solved that prblem by drilling a tiny hole for a torsion spring, which rests against the master and holds the lever against the piston nicely. Here is a pic.

Here is my nice freshly bored stock jug, bolted up with a CR head gasket.

nice looking, I like the lever...may i suggest you tighten up that bolt on the trees holding the shocks?;)

What are you using to polish? I use a bench grinder with a 6" wheel and the buffing compound sticks from Lowes. There are several types available for cleaning up scratches , cleaning the Alum., and then polishing. There are also compounds for steel, stainless steel, and Aluminum. There are 2 types of pads also, cleaning and buffing, I run one on each side. I save my worn down buffing pads when they get to about 3" and mount them on my hand grinder, works perfect for getting inside of rims. Dave

A set of Yamahondaman's billet fork caps would look nice on there.

All the bolts are getting replaced sometime soon. I think I will maybe just get the bolts I want as I go, but I have also been eyeballing those kits on ebay, as well.
I just don't know yet.
