Just scored myself a really nice one owner 86 250r... I payed about 1700 US for it prob a little to much but it has 80% org tyres. All stickers still in great nic. Tool kit complete!!!!!!! thumb throttle.. Will put some photos next couple of days..

Off to Wellington on Firday, 2 boys racing quads in NZ mini motoX nationals
So hopefully wins in the 50cc class and the 100cc class as well..

I dont think thats a bad price at all. Around here I would pay $1700 for the right machine, sounds like you got it!

Especially in New Zealand (from what I know their scarce) thats a totally decent price.

yes they are scarce here.Heaps of 85 Tri z's though. But l will now tell you the whole story about the bike. The bloke who i brought this bike off imports secondhand jetskis. He was buy some of a another fella in japan, and he had some spare room in the container but a ski was to big. This guy suggested he look at the 250r and he brought it and shipped it back. That was about 4 weeks ago. The bike was traded by the orginal owner several years earlier. So the bike was sold new in Japan. Its build date is 11/85. I will get photos up after the boys race and hopefully win this weekend.
