Tri-Z engine question

what are you guys using to install your crank seals with? I smoked the mag side seal during install. Now I get to play the waiting game to get another seal. :(

I apply a little grease to the seal and the case. start it in with fingers first the best ya can, then with a flat punch (1/4 od) start lightly taping around the outer edge, In a circular motion.. Keeping the seal even and level, Untill seated flush, you might have to jump around with the punch to keep it even.

I put a big socket around the crank shaft and lightly tapped it in place.

That worked well for me, it was removing the old one that was the hard part
