So i just got the X running for a little bit and rode it around the yard a few times with the choke on, it seems to go pretty good actually and only sputtered a tiny bit in 6th gear going down the road. It was smoking a tiny bit at first but after a few mins of riding it didnt smoke anymore. When i brought it back to the garage and shut it off. After that it just wouldnt start. Spark is still good, compression is great, i just cleaned the carb again and theres no blocked jets and it is getting gas. What all could be causing this? Is it running too lean or did i blow something up? My 110 did the same thing.

How does the plug look?? Was it a new plug?? Why would it only run with the choke on ??I bet the plug was solid black??Is the spark yellow??

Plug was SOLID black, it was a old plug that i cleaned up, if i remember the spark was blue/white thats the first thing i checked. Im not sure why it would only run with the choke, i was unaware that the choke was even on until i looked at the arrow.

I read your other post and see that it is a nice machine!! I would imagine with it been setting ,it got neglected and it needs the basics done to it like... cleaning the air filter - checking carb adjustments- check needle position-changing the oil -and checking eletrical connections, and stuff like that!! Stuff like that is preventable headaches let me tell you,Live and Learn- I have been burned so many time trying to diagnose a problem like you are having and found it to be as simple as a bad ground.. I would also drain the gas and if there is any debris floating in the tank ,clean it and for sure put on a new fuel line and a in-line fuel filter,I use the clear cone styles myself!! Just check that stuff and you will find things mite be easier to figure out!! As far as getting trikes behind garages and stuff,I special order trikes ,OEM straight from Honda in Japan,I never get mine behind barns !!!

Im going out to check all the simple stuff now but it might need a rebuild sooner or later. Ill post back when i finish up. I see you have a massive collection of trike! How did you come by all thoes?!

I just cleaned the air box, filter, carb, everything. Still no fire? Has perfect blue spark just wont fire up. Though there was a bit of oil on the plug?

If you havent already, get a new plug. Might want to consider a carb rebuild.

I was going to pick one up but the store where i get them was closed. When you kick it you have to kick it hard to make a small spark. So i think its time for a new plug and maybe a topend rebuild.

I'm sure it dosent need a topend rebuild because of spark issues. Get a new plug, if that dosent help look into a new plug wire, or even a new CDI, or stator.
