My wifes 86? sx has no brakes at this time. I think the pads came apart from sitting up for a while. No big deal there, pads and springs are cheap enough.
Now the problem. the p.o. put holeshots on itp rims, aluminum, on it. It looks cool, rides awesome, but...He also used tapered lug nuts.
The lug nuts grabbed into the alum and shrunk it around the wheel stud, now they wont come off. I tried tapping them off with a block of wood against the rim and tapping it, no good. I tried loosening the lug nuts and riding it, didnt work either. I can use a puller of sorts but it will have to rest on the brake hub, which has been discontinued, see where this is going?:D
Any way to get the rim and or the hub off so I can get to the brakes? Without breaking the hub, HELP! Dave

Have you tried to heat the rim around where the studs are. This will cause the aluminum to expand.

just use propane on it cuz if you use acelalane torch you could be seriously meesing up the aluminum rims!
