So a couple years ago I was at the neighbors house and saw a decent 200x out behind the garage. He said if i wanted a free trike so obviously said yes! This wasnt his trike so he had to ask, but his good friend who owned it was going to let his son ride it. So it i just called up tonnight and he was just getting ready to part it out! He said he'll let me take it to see if it will run, and if it does, i can have it for $200! Its been sitting for a while but i remember a year or two ago my neighbor started it up and rode it without a whole lot of effort.

So if its been sitting and it did run previously, the chances will be pretty good it would still start up after i cleaned everything up? I dont see why it wouldnt? Has anyone ever took on a challenge of getting a trike running thats been sitting for a couple years behind a garage? And im almost sure it still has spark. BTW i have unlimited time within reason to get this to start! :w00t:

seem most of my atcs are found sitting and not running, as long as its got spark and compression your 90% there. My latest aquisition is a 85 200X with according to the guy I got it from sat for 3 or 4 years, I just cleaned the tank, sprayed the carb, changed the plug and it fired up. Ive since installed a new clutch, springs, seat cover, rear plastic, front tire, air filter and clutch cable. Im into it for 510 dollars including the 200 dollar purchase price. and it looks like a new trike. Jim

Im confident it will have good spark and compression. I remember that last time it was rode and it was running good for not even being cleaned, just kicked and rode. Im sure it will need the carb cleaned and a new plug, but i sure hope i can get her running without anything major. Ill be posting some questions if i get stuck anywhere, and ill be sure to get pics as soon as its unloaded from the truck!

its a little dirty but im cleaning it up to night. Needs some new rear carrier bearings, kick starter and some adjustment to the carb. It does run but only with the choke so im going to go up a few jet sizes . Plastic is pretty nice, but the tank isnt too good but ill get one this winter once it runs better. Suprisingly all the brakes work! Everthing is better than average for $200 id say. ill get more pics tonight once im done with it.

Definitely stick to the stock jetting for now. There's no replacement for a thorough carburetor cleaning, and rebuild if needed. Looks great guy, definitely a steal at $200.

Nice man, if it only needs a good cleaning, you got a steal!

Needs some small stuff like rear bearings and a kick starter. But my future plans are to recover the seat, and rebuild the carb and get a new plug. It definatly needs a new plug the one i have now it shot.

the problem with it running with the choke on is not the jet size it's they are clogged orgummed up from sitting.

Well i just cleaned it as much as possible. Then put a new NGK in there. Fired right up!!! So i went and rode some but it needs the oil changed so im changing it in a min before i go out again. The exhaust is pretty bad too so thats getting replaced along with, a new seat cover, kick starter and some new powdercoat!
