But I wanna keep my Z motor too. I don't wanna raffa it up and put a 490 in it or anything. It's got a full DG on it now, been ported and polished, gots a uni air filter. I was thinking of taking the air box off, but will that be bad if I so through water and mud? because I have too on some of the trails I ride. Also, I heard 38mm carbs are ecellent mods. But there are so many on ebay, which one do I know to get? What are some good mods that make some hp? I wanna be able to beat some of the guys down the road. Right now, I can just keep up until I top out....yea, he has a banshee. I wanna be able to dust his ass until I top out, i wanna be have to make him really work to be able to pass me.

I got around the same set up, I got porting, reeds, pipe and a filter with no lid. Im also this winter sticking a 36 PWK on her.

I always heard 38's are too big for a 250cc? unless its fully modded?

Maybe you should look into the 310 kit Sprock racing is making. They should be done around December.Your engine will appear stock. You will have to have the cases bored out for the bigger sleeve.Or you can look into the phase 2 wrench report. That is more of a "stock "mod.

either go with boysen power or boysen carbon reeds... you just need to rejett... and of course a bigger front sprocket and back can sometimes give a little bit more speed.... just a little tho =)
