Can someone help me. 1984 ATC250R

Here is what I did:

Installed new bearings and seals in carrier. Replaced carrier in swing arm. slid axle into carrier until sprocket bottoms out against seal. (other side) Installed rear caliper mounting bracket. Installed rear brake disk with disk mounting hub - long side of hub goes into carrier. Installed 1 spacer/washer - installed 2 nuts on axel. Axle is very very sloppy after all is tight and axel nuts bottom out of threads.

After looking at micro fische - I see that it looks like I am missing some other collar that fits between the brake mounting hub and the bearing seal. Can someone enlightem me??? There was nothing like that when I removed the sloppy rear end..........

Yup. You need that there. I dont see how the nuts would even come close to being tight. The collar slides on right after the brake disc hub, then the washer, then the two nuts. You are going to need one to get this set up rite and tite.

Thanks Max - also after some research and seeing so much sloppiness is in the rear of this thing - I have found that 84 R axle bearings are not the same as 85 350X axle bearings. OD is the same - thus they fit in perfect and I assumed they were right - ID - is 5mm different (bigger on the 350X - I should do my homework on stuff like this BEFORE I assemble !!!LOL

FOR REF:

350X Axle Bearings = 40I.D. X 62O.D. X 12 Wide

250R Axle Bearings = 35I.D. X 62O.D. X 7 Wide

I guess I need to find one - or get one - I can't see that they are discontinued. Do you maybe have a spare laying around? Hint hint?
