yes it does but i think 18 links to long with it as tight as it will go will still be to loose.

you nee to carefuly gind a few links. you grind the pins.

I assume you bought a master link? Dont cut the roller, Grind the end off the rivet, on the link --1 LINK PAST 92--(THE FIRST RIVET ON 93) Flip the plate up and slide the link off---Use the master to join the two end links.

While Im here, I asked a few weeks ago , but no one replied. "How do you figure out chain length" after a sprocket change? Trial and error , or --Some mystical magical mathematical formula?

Not to hijack your thread........

Back to you......A dremel with a small grinding stone is PERFECT for that.

well each tooth takes 2 links so lets say you get a sprocket with 2 more teeth and you cant get anymore slack out of the chain you will need a sprocket with 4 more links. i dont know if anyone does it like that but i do.

buy a small chain breaker

If it works, who cares who else does it that way---

Thanx---- So lemme get this straight..... #520 chain --11 tooth front , 39 rear 48 links
Swap to a 42 rear..... I should guesstimate 54 links?

ok i get on the 93ed link and grind the rivot on the far end out?..just trying to be sure before i cut the hell out of a 80$ chain

all i did was multiply my 42 tooth sprocket x 2 for each tooh that gave me 84 so i trusted my thery and bought a 84 link chain and it worked but u got a yammi right? i dont know if it will work for you because the distance between front and rear may be diffrant from mine. but i will check it out

yea you must have a shorter distance between the engine and rear because stock mine takes a 84. lol i went to stock again mine had a 86 before. well i did just get this trike less than 1 year ago. i find something diff. on it everyday.

Make it 94.....You can take away ---but you cant add to it. How long is the chain?

Nevermind---you did say 110.

Before you cut it, set the adjuster to mid-point and wrap the chain around the sprockets. Overlap and MARK -OFF the two links that mate up comfortably

Why make it so hard doing all that math? Just put the chain on the sprockets with the tensioner as loose as it will go. Then line up the chain without the masterlink and shorten it to where it needs to be. Then put the masterlink and clip on and tighten it? If you get a big enough chain dont even bother trying to figure out how many links you need.

True , But a premium quality chain can run up to 1.50$ per link. and the 17 extra links would piss me off sitting in the corner, while I'm paying 3.00$ a gallon for gas--
