please help. atc70 carb question

ok im dumb. the manual says for the air mixture screw that it should be set between 1 and 1.5 turns out. which way (turning the screw) will make it richer and which will make it leaner?

Turn it all the way in clockwise,not to tight, just snug it, you just shut off the air, turn it 1.5 turns counter clockwise, and you just gave it some air. The slow jets are notorious for clogging up on those, bread tie wire works good. good luck.
