350x bad a**

i think i got a sweet deal but im not sure. i got a 350x and a 350x motor bored out to a 380 the trike is almost new i paid 1800 cash what is the motor worht
the gut i got it off of said it was taken off the show room floor in the late 89 mabe (not sure) and it was bored out and never even broke in. im not sure what im going to do with the motor but for sur im sell the trike it scares the sh1t out of me what do you think

considering 350x's are nothing compared to whats out there...and being bored out to a 380? if thats even possible it wont make much of a difference...

Wow. Well if I were you, Id keep it, and get used to it. As for the other motor that hasnt been broken in, I would keep that as well. But, if you are looking to make some cash, you could sell it on ebay, and im sure that it would go for a pretty penny. You are probably looking at 3 to 5 hundred bucks right there. I would keep it though, those bikes are pretty rare. And if you do decide to sell it, sell it to someone on these board who will actually take care of it. I hate to see a good bike goto waste becuase somebody didnt take the time or effort to maintenence the bike in the way that it deserves. Do you have any pics to post?

If thats the case id suggest to go ride a 250r with a nice pipe and reeds, and floor it till the power band kicks in, i bet you come back with some poopie in your pants. Lol im just saying cause 350x's are not slow, but there not even close to top 10 on the fast list.

There are lots of people who put the X motor into a trx250x frame...seams like a waste to me...the 350x is a great all around bike as is. It may seem fast at first but once you get used to it you'll want more. And if the bike is in good cosmetic shape with an engine thats not a bad price, but a pic is worth a 1,000 words.

greeting fellow ohioan.. I'd say put the motor in the frame and keep it to ride.. If you can figure out how to keep the X on 3 wheels then the YFZ shouldn't be a problem. A trike will make you work to ride.. better be ready to rock because people who let their guard down may not be here to talk about it.

...or you could just make it faster than a 250R and have four stroke tech build you a 490cc motor. using the xr500 sleeve w/ a 92mm bore and a stroker crank.... it actually wouldnt cost much, the most expensive part being the crank, but wtf-money grows on trees!

YES!

You can do what you would like to, but as many on here will tell you - it would not be a wise choice.

mine is 393cc... 11:1... 20% hp gain, so about 5-6hp.

much faster than stock.

still not as fast as a yzf450 though lol

I would keep it in the 350X frame, but I say do what you want. Just ride around a bit before you descide what you are going to do. You may get use to the X & like it. Not a sin to me.

Put the 380 motor in a TRX250R frame. Don't let it go to waste sitting. Put it in a good chassis and you would have an awsome quad.

My Tecate scares me on times, thats half of the fun. Keep the X or sell it to someone who will like it more.
