Does the 86 250sx have an oil filter? I keep reading about it, but no one says where it is...or maybe they mean something else? So.....where is it? :wondering

The oil filter is located under the round cover on the kicker side of the motor.
Under the plastic cap with the 2 screws in it. :)

200x is correct, right above the clutch adjustment screw is the plastic cover and behind the cover is the oil filter cover that has 3 bolts holding it on. It also runs the same oil filter that all the other Honda trikes run, and I advise to use fram oil filters, they come with a o-ring that fits on the cover and keeps it from leaking. Also be careful, there is a spring behind the oil filter, do lose it. This is a simple thing to do, and you will see when you get it apart. I hope this helped.

Yea, be careful not to crossthread any of the bolts when you re-install because it is spring loaded and sort of tricky to get back together sometimes. I know that one from experience a few years ago when I was a younger punk kid

Thanks for the help guys! I wonder how many times the filter has been changed in its 20 years...

Yup. As you can see I somehow crushed that rubber oring on the inside of the cover. Causing a bad oil leak... It's all fixed now though. :w00t:
