i've been kicking this around for awhile now.thought i would throw some ideas out there for feed back.
i was thinking maybe silver front and rear fenders, black tank, black shoruds.but i don't know if i like the different colors.my frame will be silver vien powdercoat.the custom miltech is either gonna be white,or yellow, maybe red, maybe black.
then i thought about the whole thing silver.silver tank, and shrouds, silver front and rear.same frame color, but having the swinger p.c. yellow.
a new, black with silver writting seat cover is in the plans aswell.instead of atc on the side,i will proudly put OTC,and on the back i want 3leg,or 3leggeddog.
hopefully i can get another number plate like i have but in silver.instead of polished,i think the bottom forks will be black, and the tripples too.gonna paint the motor black too.the stainless steel bolt kit should stand out good then.
well if anyone can so some paintshop, that would be sweet.if not,i'll start piecing her together next month.thanks for any input

If you go with silver fenders, get the matching silver shrouds with some custom decals.

Hmmmmmm, silver actually sounds really nice, but where can you get silver fenders ?
Dammit!

Maier makes silver fenders and shrouds.

Silver sounds like bling overkill to me. Make it white or something.
(Or if you wanna be really original, make it bright orange with red and green accessories) :p
200xcellent

i vote for some blue in there somewhere!!!!! you know my color
3leggeddog
10-06-2006, 06:01 PM
well you only got a few choices.maier does not make the shrouds in anything but black, white, and blue.the problem with black,is it shows everything.the problem with white is my uncle derricks bike is white.and the blue is so ugly.
i will have to have the shrouds made custom if i go silver.i already panned out the details on that.i think the silver will be siick.i would go black again, but alot of people have built black bike tihs year.i want something custom.
i could do orange,or something, but i want the tank to match the rest of the plastics.i thought maybe i could save money and do a black tank, black shrouds, silver fenders scheme, but i don't know how well it would flow.
hey doug,i'm gonna have the black stickers made if i go silver, and vise versa.
i think with the siver vein p.c. frame, everything will tie in nice
Hmm I plan on doing my extra R frame in Silver, and thought about switching it back over aLl my black stuff so in a few months or so you will see what a silver frame with all black looks like

I agree with the whole thing silver. It would look original, and have a real cool flow to it!

Well crap. Maier had silver shrouds listed on their web site only a few months ago. Another one bites the dust I guess.
We really need to get some kind of mail campaign going to let all these aftermarket companies know we're here and to keep making this stuff.

i know what a silver frame,all black plastic looks like.the first year i did it,that was the combo.siler frame,trx aluminum swinger,all black plastics.looked siick.
the silver vein p.c. is more like a black, and silver mixed.looks like hammer tone type paint.

i talked to them a bunch this week.25 sets would have to be ordered for them to stamp it out,so instead,i'm having them send me a sheet of plastic, and aussie will form the shrouds.
Dammit!
10-06-2006, 07:19 PM
They will sell sheets of plastic?!??! That's like the answer to Aussie's prayers! Yellow Z shrouds, red honda parts... :w00t:

Sounds cool Brandon. I'm still trying to decide on how to do my new 250r. I'm either gonna go with the 87 protoyype colorscheme I saw on the boards or I'm just gonna set it up like the 350x and 200x. red, white, andblue.

All Silver with Black or Silver shrouds and custom OTC skull decals on them.Skeletons scare me, and so do clowns, so I personally wouldn't use either of those decals on my bike.
