The complete engine will bolt into the 250R frame yes.

will an 85 right side inner case interchange with the 89 or not?? if not how much is a used 89 right side case?

yea, these knowledgeable trikers on here also say that the rod is longer on the later R's

the clutch cover is diff. in the inside "kick" area
