My 85 200X's seat is really bent back far and doesn't lay close to the tank. Is there any way to fix that gap?
Thanks everyone

My '85 350X is the same way. I'm not really sure how to fix it as I've never really tried to do anything with it yet. I'm assuming that it gets like that from the total number of times someone besides me has sat on that seat and flexed it in the middle.:wondering

every honda i see has the seat bent away from the tank, musta been one of hondas downfall. Maybe take a tourch to the bottom plastick heat it up, (wait a heatgun) No torch and get it hot and bend it let it cool and then out it on then it should fit really snug.

What I do is put a strap around to hold the seat to the gas tank when I'm not riding.

Heated the wifes seat up with a heat gun after the old cover and foam was pulled off. Heat it evenly on the front and back side. Heat it with it mounnted back to the rear plastic. When they,re good and pliable (but not tooo pliable) Put them back on the bike and hold the seat pan against the tank till it cools back down. The steel tank helps it to cool faster.
Here is a before and after pic.
