Looks good so far! I see you painted the headlight mounts. O, btw, the headlight bucket is upside down. Did all the parts work for ya?

Great work, that will be a great trike. I will be watching for your pics on the process of restoring that 200s. I wish more people fixed or restored their trikes then parting them out on ebay. Doing a great job, take plenty of pics.

Nice job on that fade. Very unique! Are you planning on doing anything to the plastics? Either way, I think it will look good. Nice work! :beer

I like it! Neat to see someone spending some time on a 200s. Lots of sport trike restos, but not so many on the little trikes that are just as fun. Lookin good dude, keep us posted

I like how you did that frame, looks real good. So why are you putting 25" tires on the back? I'm going to assume for mudding ground clearence, but thats going to change your gearing to be alot higher. You planning on putting different sprockets on it?
84honda200s
10-02-2006, 11:05 PM
yea sooner or later i am. and you hit it rite on the head 25 inch tires to go threw deeper mud. lol

The fork will go on backwards but the fender looks funny. I dont know if it hits or not but dont line ub right with the tire. You would get a longer wheelbase but I believe the ground clearance on the frame in front goes down too.

well guys i think i figured out the spark issue. i was in a big hurry to get it to gether and when i was putting the timing chain back on it must have skipped a few links and the timming was off. i am pretty sure i got it fixed. i am painting my recoil so i wont know for a little while.

well as promised i am posting an update. i am halted once again due to lack of cash. i am also stripping the recoil and repainting it. it is going to be red so is the cdi cover. well i think im not sure yet. once im done painting the recoil and get it on the trike i will take more pics. i found some 4 bolt 110mm hubs to put on it and they should be in next week sometime. i got them from a buddy. i decided im only getting back tires and rims for now.(im running out of cash fast)
now my question is with 25 inch tires on the rear what size sproket should i use?
i believe my front is 11tooth but i forgot what the rear is.

I believe stock is either 10/43 or 11/43. If you have a 11, you might wanna get a 10. With the 11 and 25's, I bet you would have trouble finding the right gear in mud and stuff, probably 1st is all you'd need, hehe. I was searching on Dennis Kirk the other day, and they list a 8,9,10,11,12, and 13 front sprockets for the 200S for $9.99. I know going from 20's to 22's is 1 front tooth difference, but dunno bout 25's. Also, I would measure the tire height to see exactly what you got. The 25's I pulled off Fireball are 25-12-9's and measure 23" tall. My Duro's are same size and measure 25 1/2". Use a level and tape to get the reading.

ok i will do that when i buy and get the tires. so the biger the tire the smaller the front sproket? if so i better add 1 more thing to the must have list. lol

yes.. bigger tires = smaller front sprocket....
nice fenders... did you cut them or will u be getting new ones?
84honda200s
10-11-2006, 10:39 PM
well for now they are my #1 fenders. i needed a pair of fenders so i got them from a guy on here. he is an awsome help on this trike. i dont plan on getting new ones any time soon. im thinking of running a 9 tooth in the front.

shesh, if i hadnt known you were in need of plastics that bad i wouldnt have chopped parts off my 200s fenders to melt down for repairs and woulda just donated them to you.. lol well its looking good either way, keep up the good work man, not enough attention is paid to the good ole' hard tails.

Have you got the plastic mounted yet? I think all you need are the screws and the 4 rubber frame grommets. I have the grommets, but don't have the screws. I'll check my junk screw jar for some that can work if needed.
