Okay, Im looking to hone my clyinder before reasembly. I already have a stone grinder similar to this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/AT180-S-TENG-3-STONES-FOR-CYLINDER-HONING-TOOL_W0QQitemZ230031087383QQihZ013QQcategoryZ23782 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I was told that after I deglaze with the above mentioned, I would need to cross hatch with one of these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3-1-4-Engine-Cylinder-FlexHone-3-250-Flex-Hone-240grit_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6755QQihZ015QQi temZ250032602444QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Is this correct? What grit should I use stone wise, and flex wise?

This is on my bored Tri-Z

Thanks for any advice.

One more question, the cylinder is about 2 5/8 inches, how big of a flex hone should I get?

Also, know of any good places online to pick one up besides ebay?

you should get one bigger than the bore so it put pressure on the cylinder walls.

I have checked that and according to me you can use any from both of them. I think that 240 might be perfect for your cylinder. Thanks for the other advices. I appreciate.
