flywheel question

i just got a new engine for my 250sx,its an 1986 and the motor is either a 1985 or older. the engine came without a stator so i tryed puting my 86 staor in but the 85 flywheels is to small,can i just put the 86 flywheel and stator on the 85 engine?there arent any clearance issues either.thanks

can someone at least tell me how to take the flywheel off,it spins whenever i try to take the center nut off.any ideas how to stop it from spinning?

If theres nothing in the way I use a strap wrench or an oil filter wrench of appropriate size. Works great most of the time.
