This the 21st anniversary of the day I brought my beloved 350X home. Who else is an original owner?

That is cool to hear. You might be alone on this count. Good to see you still are "The" original owner of a sweet bike:beer

I've got a Supertrapp on it now instead of the Cobra. I originally had a Bassani exhaust for it but rust got to it.......doh!

Dammit!

Not me. 2nd owner of my R. Had it since around 1989 though.

I am one of the lucky people that has owned a brand new off the showroom floor trike though. It was a 1985 200x.

Right on Curtis.....glad to hear I'm not the only freak! I was 17 when I bought mine. My buddy already had the 250R so I got the 350X. Plus I was a four stroke devotee back then but I've since seen the light and ride both. Gotta love the smell of a 2-stroker in the morning!

Is this a trick question? It's just a cheap ole whip that I picked up from Alba Action Sports in Poway, CA.

Ive had my YT125 since 1982, although it spent the better part of the last 20 years in pieces in moms garage.

Does it run now? My uncle had one of those Tri-Motos and I was always bugging my Dad to go visit his brother. We would run the piss out of it hauling ass through the woods.......fun times on the Yammi!

That makes 3 freaks now. There's got to be more of us.....speak up!

Can a passdown from father to son count? This thing was purchased one year before i was born, but it has been in our garage and part of our home since. With the exception of replacement handlebars/tires/sprockets, one motor rebuild, a few nuts and bolts, brackets, and guards, what you see is exactly as it was when it was purchased straight off the dealer back in October of 1984.

Bought a 1985 250sx when I was a senior in High School. I still have it and my girlfriend rides it all the time. I prefer the 350x now, and wish I would of got a 350x back then. But I'll never get rid of my first. Man this is making me feel old.:)

I'm not the original owner of my trike being I was only 4 years old when it was new.. lol.. Yea I dominated the mini class on a stock 350X @ 4 years old... Yea IT's gettin deep I know. I wish I could've had mine from new because I could have taken care of it the way it should have been taken care of.. instead of me trying to fix 21 years worth of problems that someone else (careless human being) created. That's cool man being the original owner.. I envy guys like you because you all knew what it was like to go and buy a brand new ATC.. and us whipper-snappers have no clue at all.. I salute you!!

I am the original owner of a 1985 Honda Big Red 259es. Am in the process of restoring it. It still runs excellent but was getting pretty shabby looking after many trips to the Canadian Bush on fishing trips and using it to haul cedar logs out of a swamp where I live. I have been able to get all new oem plastic except the rear trunk lid and 3 new oem wheels. It is going to be a good winter project. No pictures yet

SHHHH!!!! ;) Sup mint......I had to join the working stiffs of the world and haven't been working the trike scene as much. Although Trike Dude and I are hitting some nice mini dunes in Oklahoma....Little Sahara. They got good rhythm to them and you can get that nice roller coaster "ride" going pretty good. Not as big as the 'G' dunes and such but hey it's half the distance at least......someday though I'll return. :beer

glad to hear you hooked up with another triker and are still duning without missing a beat....

:TrikesOwn and PROPS to you for being an original owner:TrikesOwn

wish I could claim that but simply throwing money (since 1979) at my wifes 79 110 to keep it alive doesnt count...after all...It's in her name...LOL

Those are some great stories about everyone's pride and joys. Here's a quick count of who responded so far. Either the original owner or passed down but still in the family and you still have it. Plus let's see some pics of your original rides.

1. Me :)
2. Curtis-Tecate3
3. Unclediezel
4. greenhuman ( not a trike but I've always loved those little mini bikes)
5. westcoast TRI-Z
6. Steiger
7. mymint87's wife
8. Jeb
9. hublake

If I missed anyone.....speak up! :TrikesOwn There's has to be others to get the count to double digits.

Take care of yours, it will last you a long time with ver little maintenance, my first was a 1971 ATC90 (US90) I wish I still had it but was fool enough to part with it when I got my new 1980 ATC

yay, my first post!!!

When I was 4 years old my dad bought a 1985 Honda 200X. I still remember riding on it with him at Glamis.
2 years ago, he pulled it out of storage and gave it to me! Its in excellent condition, and works flawlessly. So since I rode it when I was 4 years old, I think that qualifies me as an original owner?....sort of? :)

here are a few pictures. My friend was riding it and I took the picture (2nd one.)
And that my wife in the third pic, she rides it most of the time.

Since about two years ago. I got an itch to move back to where I grew up and have a little bit slower life. Well at least a lot less traffic. I lived in Mira Mesa..yo..and hit the dunes whenever I could. I miss them something fierce. So this weekend I'm going to get a fix at Little Sahara in Oklahoma. Well I'm gonna get myself some Double Stuff O's and join that original owner clan..........Got Milk?

Welcome to the board! Nice story and sweet looking X!

But the only way my boy will get mine is when I'm 6 feet under! I plan on riding it for a long time. Heck the engine has never been apart. Just regular oil changes and valve adjustments. Hoser was right, take care of them and they'll last you a long time.

Hey Hoser.....you making it out to LS this weekend?

I still have the atc 110 that my Dad bought new for me in 1984. It looks and runs just as good as it did then. Well maintained and kept in his shop since then. It is one of the best condition trikes I have. :naughty:

I'm the original owner of my '86 250R, which was purchased in October, 1985. In fact, I've bought 3 brand new trikes off of Pasadena Honda's showroom floor, an '81 110, '85 200X, and the 250R. My dad now owns the 110, and the 200X was sold to get the 250R. :(
