I have a front caliper from a 98 CR 250 on it's way.
Looks like it will work on the front of my 86 250R. Any thoughts on this, like maybe I will end up reselling it cuz it won't work?
Hopefully it does, as calipers for the ATC are going for good coin. I also think I am going to go the YZ caliper route for the rear. I know it works on the TRX, but will it also work on an 86 R?

I have the original calipers here, but after sitting over the years, they have frozen up. I got them somewhat freed up, but they are pretty bad off.
Any possibilty if these newer calipers will work for me that the brakes will be improved noticeably?

I have rebuild several calipers of mine, it isn't hard to do, but it does cost some money for the seals, rubber boots, pistons.

I got the pistons out just a bit ago. The caliper bores are real bad on the front one, but I believe I can maybe salvage the rear one. Any ideas on prices for new seals, boots, and maybe the pistons?

I will find out when I get the CR front caliper whether it will work or not, but I am open to thoughts and suggestions.

Has anyone in here tried other front calipers on an 85-86 250R? It's been said that a late model YZ one will work on the rear, but I still wonder what options there are for the front one.
