:Bounce A guy at work wants to buy my 200m, because he said his 90 is too small for him. I asked him what he had and he told me that it was a '76 honda 90:Bounce I told him if it is as nice as he described it, I would trade him even up, but I did explain that I was pretty sure that he had a pretty valuable piece of trike history. He went on to tell me how he only paid $300 for it a few years ago and he and his son have been riding the dog doo out of it ever since but wanted something bigger. I haven't seen it yet but he told me that it's all original and in great shape, but that he had it painted after he bought it cuz the original paint was faded . Any comments on what a piece like this would be worth? sorry no pictures avail. yet

after a little information search it seems as though he doesn't have a us90 but an atc 90. I guess it sounded too good to be true, at least for my luck anyway!

No - it is not. The US90 was only in 1970 and 1971 - also known as the US90K0. In 1972 they went to ATC90K1. From 1972 - 1978 they are ATC90; 1970 and 1971 was the US90. Below are the technical call letters

1972 ATC90K1
1973 ATC90K1
1974 ATC90K2
1975 ATC90 K3
1976-1978 ATC90

Ok - my bike's serial number starts with US90 - I assumed they all did - but I can understand why you would want one - doesn't everybody?!

Maybe I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that all balloon tire 90s' were US90s'. I have a 73 that the engine and frame number starts with
US90. Are you sure you info is correct?

Not all 90cc Honda's with Balloon tires are US90's. A very good example is the 1974 Honda ATC90. It had balloon tires but the frame serial number starts with ATC90-. Oh, and it was the last year for the balloon tires.

Good point Howdy, I wasn't even thinking about that. Were all the balloon tire 90s' able to be disassembled?

the frames on the 1970-73 were stamped US90, beleive it or not Honda actually called them ATC90s even back in 1970 ( look at your right hand rear fender) , but were refered to as US90s , the 74 had an ATC on the frame like howdy said , when i think of a US90 I would think a 1970-73. once you get into the 75-78 series they y hold almost no value at this point we all want the early ones .

the numbers on the 'real' us 90s are from US90E-100122 onwards this is for the k0 model, the k1 was US90E-2000001~, the k2 started with 'atc' ie ATC90-1300001~. the k5 90 (1997) was offered with chevron tyres similar to the orig us90 tyres but to suit the split rim configuration
