Yep! New to the forum. Been lurking for awhile, but hadn't posted yet. Just thought I would say hello and that you have a great place here.

I happened upon 3WW looking for info on tuning my '84 200S. Found exactly what I needed in the "carb tuning 101" sticky. Thanks a bunch. I will get some pictures of my trike for all to see.

I was given this 200s about 2 years ago. It ran ok, but not great. I ended up rebuilding the engine, put in a new 12:1 comp Wiseco piston 0.02" overbored. Ported and polished the head. Stripped down and refinished the frame and fuel tank. The fenders are in excellent shape! but I am now working on those following the technique laid out in the forum. Then I can put on my new decals that I got from Harlan!

I've had it back together for a year now, and just got it running great this summer. Took it out trail riding with two 450 4x4 quads a couple weeks ago. Never missed a beat, and went everywhere they went, and more. It was a good showing for the old trike.

Got a question for you though. What oil have any of you been running that works well? I know it lubes the engine and the trans, so the wet clutches. Whats a good oil as pertaining to the clutches?

Thanks all!!

:welcome: To 3ww. Everyone has the own idea's on which is best. I just use what ever name brand oil is on sale. The way I think about it that any oil on the market today should be better than what was around 20 years ago regardless of the brand. So you are more than likely running somthing better than the engineers planned for the engine anyway. Again :welcome: to 3ww

This is a project of me and my brothers design:
We call it the "drag cart" Its powered by an '85 Honda 185s engine and drivetrain. Notice the blue anodized hand shifter on the left side. It's fast as hell too!!!

Why are there springs on the front end of the trike in the first photo? Extra preload? Bottoming resistance? Looks?

Woot, that kart looks a lot like the one I have. I need to put a bigger engine in mine too, it's already got a chain-drive. I'm thinkin' something like a CR 80 motor?

They look like long overdue fork boots on the front, but maybe the photo is just that crappy eh? anyway.. cool bike.. don't let anyone tell you to not work on it.. it's still better than spending 6 0r 7 grand and it's just as much fun or more.:beer

Ya, they're not springs. Those are old rotten fork boots as mentioned. I don't know if I want to get new ones or not!! The refinished pics don't have them on.
Yeah, that 185 poweres that cart to some speeds. Took some chump in a drag race who had a 10hp powered cart, sucker!!

Thanks!!

Yeah, those are all digital. The scrappy one of the trike when I first got it was taken with a junky generic digital, like 1 megapixal. The better ones where taken with a newer camera Canon 5 megapixal.

I dunno. I like to see the shiny forks. It depends on your preference though.
