I am wanting to get some bare aluminum wheels anodized to look like the gold 250r wheels. Who does this? Would it be cheaper to just buy the honda wheels if they're still available? Thanks a lot.

the power coating company here has somehting along the lines of candy paint and its like a sunburst gold, it looks similar but not quite the same, and it shouldnt cost that much, I used to get alloy car wheels for about 45 apeice so I bet you can get the whole set done for about 50 or so but dont hold me to it

I have wondered about the anodizing also. Have you googled anodizing?? I dont think the powder would give the same look and feel. Wouldnt be cheap either. I picture a set of 10 inch wheels anodized with hoosiers on an R....or and 86 Z :naughty:

If you have a paintball pro shop anywhere around you they might do anodizing. When I used to paintball a while back many people had their paintball guns anodized and still do today and they used to do other stuff as well for customers.

I have a set of rims on the Z that have been painted over the anodize:mad:

Does anyone know if there is anyway to take the paint off without messing up the gold?
