What exactly keeps the 88-89 trx250r swing arm from working on a 350x?? Is it because its too wide to fit into the frame at the top? Or is it just barely a little too wide and can be modded to fit? Just a shot in the dark, if anyone knows what needs to be done just give me a shout. Thanks. Later.

why would you want a shorter swinger in a already wheelie happy bike?? you will have to change the rear brake and complete rear end, the only parts of the rear end you can use is the hubs. Also, the linkege for the rear shock will have be configured. Its alot of work, for a shorter swingarm.

Jason Hall did this exact swap on his X. The TRX swinger is infact +2 over a stock 350X. If you want to run the 250R shock you will need to weld a mount for the lower linkage to your frame. Also a rear spacer must be made for the sprocket. Contact him for more info.

88/89 or 85-87 swinger, I know the 85-87 swinger is 1" longer than a 88/89.
