I bought new brake pads today. Took out the old ones... and now I can't figure out how to get the new ones to fit. The round thing that presses the pads to the rotor won't go down. I dont know if its supposed to or not. I looked at my manuel but its no help. Please help :(
use a c clamp to press the pistons back into the caliper

Alright C-clamp worked great. Got my pads in but they are loose as a goose... I took the little plate off the outside and hit the pin with a hammer....No luck and probably not a good idea..How do I get them snug?

You got to bleed the brakes.

Earlier when I had no clue what was going on I drained all of the brake fluid out of the cylinder down by the rotors... Also I can't bleed my brakes properly beacause my brake bleed screw is stripped... I tried to bleed where the hose goes in. Still no brakes.

You also need to make sure that the 2 slide pins are not seized and allow the caliper to float into position. You'll need to get a good bleeder screw....
