This past weekened i took my 185s to a riding spot called the pits im talkin 2 or 3 ft deep of mud there were a bunch of big heavy oversized quads out there and guess what they kept gettin stuck and you need another quad to pull them out. but not me when i did get stuck i would just get off lift my 185s out of the mud and keep ridin boy were they pissed ha ha i was laughin at all those guys. Whats you guys reasons.

I went to trikes and never looked back because of all the advantages they have...... First off, their simlpy lighter. Secondly when you learn how to take turns well you can go in circles around quads, even ones that have their steering modified...... Add a short track kit to the mix, and well that's self explanitory.....
Lastly I just like all the looks I get from people, good or bad I don't care. Aawsome to get compliments and just as awsome to make people eat their own insults!!!

I know, quads are easy to get stuck, trikes are kinda tough to get stuck. I've ridden my 200x and 250r through more crap and I've had the quads I ridden with get stuck, and just to piss them off, I pulled them when they got stuck. I've kept right up with them and sometimes they couldn't keep up. I haven't went trail riding on atv's(besides the 10 miles of trails chattsworth has) in about 2 years. I do pretty much ONLY motocross right now. My bikes are modded for mx too, some very heavily and one lightly. I still ride quads and own 2 complete and one in parts, I don't ride them very often.

i agree they are so much better than quads in the mud. i ride threw some thick deep mud. i also like them because the parts seem cheaper that quad parts. but im not 100% sure on that. however i did hear that quad parts are a arm and a leg. plust if you put a honda in the pond you can pull it out and let it drain then it will fire it up"ive done it" i doubt a quad could do it. there is 1 more thing the 3 wheelers dont cost as much to buy as a quad. i payed 150.00 for my 200s

I'm adding that trikes have a built in snorkle system too, honda's airboxes connect to the frame and draw air from the highest point on the frame, and the Z obviously just has the airbox where the gastank should be lol!!! Where as quads it's under the seat.
It's just funny how a stock 250R can take deeper mud than a huge utlily quad!!! hahaha I need a 350X to pound the woods!!

you use airbox lids????? On my mx atc250r I have a aluminium box and my 200x, I put the lid in the backpack I use when I trail ride(if i do happen to need it for a water crossing).

i like the honda quads too. lol i guess i like honda all together. i dont know to much about the newer hondas but i do know the older hondas are the bomb. how many other atv's/ bikes do you know that can go in a pond and run 15 min. later? my buddy dumped his yamaha ttr125 dirt bike in a creek and it took him 4 hours to get it to start. it took me about 20 min. and mine went into a pond. lol it was real cold it was danm near winter.

Tell me about it, just yesterday I went out riding with my buddy Tom (herculesEngine) in the mud pits. We went riding with the ironworks4x4 club (www.ironworks4x4.org), they all had lifted broncos, cherokees, j10s and blazers. 33-35 inch tires, lift kits and everything. We went through every single mud bog that they did, some were almost 3 feet deep. We were both riding air cooled 250R's, mine an 83, his an 84.
Now dont get me wrong, Im not bashing the trucks at all they were freakin awesome and it was great hanging out with guys 4 wheelin. But at the end of the day everyone was in awe at what our trikes could go through. We didnt even have mud tires on!:w00t: A few guys were video taping it and said they would put it up on their website, when they do I will definilty post a link:)

My 200m can handle alot more mud than my 185s and the thing is with newer quads is they have narrow tires. They dont grip as good.how good are wooley buggers?

Trikes are light and stay on top of the mud/snow. I barely get stuck on the Tecate and I've seen some pretty nasty mudholes this year with only 20 inch tires.

i only run 22 inch tires on mine and go threw almost 3 feet mud. all i do is crawl threw it in either 1st or 2nd gear. ive only got stuck a few times mostly in clay. i hate clay its a pain in the butt to get traction.

the problem is with my tires is they wont handle tacky mudd. If there is water on it it will go threw anything. If i get a big red i will put mudd bugs on it or something.

How long you been running those tires? My buddy Isaac has a 700 triple-cylinder snowmobile engine gokart that will do burnouts at 80mph on pavement, and he has Buckshot Mudders on teh back. After riding it for almost 10 hours straight, doing donuts and burnouts and smokin the tires on pavement and such, the tires don't look worn AT ALL.
