well i was wondering when having a longer swingarm you need a longer chain, right? Well i was wondering the probility of having the chain snap because it was longer. I was a The Oregon Dune Fest and saw many bikes thro the chains. It scares me to think what kind of damage it dose.

no problems, if you go extremely long, you will need a chain slider, but you dont need one up to about 8 inches, and keep you chain adjusted so its not slopping around. i did a +4" on my R and it made the bike much more rideable, and its still very trailable.

The chains usually snap because they are old and worn or because they have a tremendous amount of force being put on them. The length of the chain isn't a big factor in whether the chain will snap or not.. just make sure its adjusted properly and you get one that is rated for the engine size of your bike.
