Im on the verge of ordering new rear tyres for the Tri-z in time for my ride next weekend and have come to a few decisions, They are going to be Turf tamers and 18 inch in diameter.
However, two widths are offered 9.5" and 11" What difference will it make between the two and which suits a certain riding style if theres a difference. The price difference is around $20 so nothing to take into consideration.

for trail, general riding,go with the 11's.alot more tire surface for traction, and the wieght is not an issue

Bit late, Derrick advised me on 9.5 while the forums were down and I went ahead and bought them.I will eventually get another set of trail tires I hope they will be ok for now.

looks good.the 9.5's should do ok,but they will spin like crazy,be warned.you will need to climb with a little more momentum,to compensate for the lack of traction.great tires, but puncture easy.

I was feaken pissed when the shop "bashed up" my rims. After that lesson a bought a bead breaker, irons, and lip insulators. Oh yea, the shop wanted me to pay for the dismount and mount. Guess what I told him? @#*&%^$#!!!
Nice Tri Z. Always liked the yellow. Hope someday to own one too.

Great lookin Z . I usually manage to get a few dings or scrapes at my tire shop. So I started taking mine to our local Wal Mart store. They do a great job and dismounts are free, they only charge you for mounting the tires and it's only $5.00 per wheel. The local yamaha dealership here does it for $10.00 per wheel. And I have never gotten a scraped or dinged wheel. Have a great day in the U.K.

Thanks everyone:D
I was a little mad when I saw the damage, but the wheels were not perfect before so I am not going to try and follow it up. I was charged $30 for the tires to be done.
I got her all laoded up ready to go for a ride :D Ill tell you how they handle.

That's crap that the shop beat up your tires/rims a bit. I would be asking them for a discount or something. You should of mounted them yourself Will, they are light tires:beer

Dammit!

You're lucky they didn't crush the rims. The type of tire changing machine they have at most tire shops (and at wal-mart) are designed for cars, not atv's and usually end up doing a good amount of damage.
Don't any of you have actual atv shops nearby? All the local bike shops around here are five bucks on, five bucks off. If you buy the tires from them they'll usually mount them free if you ask.

Love the work you have done to that Tri-Z, The yellow frame looks so much better.
Are you going to do somthing about the lack of a rear grab bar and brace those fenders?
The 9.5s look tough too, they should make it a sliding king
