250sx wont start

today i tried starting my 250sx and it just wouldnt start.ive got a new plug,and a new carb.wen i try to start it it sounds like it wants to turn on but it wont,almost like the kill switch is on.on a couple of kicks flames came out of the carb?!?:wondering ,if anyone has any idea wut is wrong with this thing plaease let me know

sounds like you don't have a good seal between the carb, the boot and the cylinder. Maybe sucking air while trying to start, then backfiring out through the leak.

well,ill check that,someone said to me it could be the valves.could it be that the intake valve is broken and the exhuast is coming out of the carb???btw,how do i take off the head,do i need to take off the cam chain first?

do the easy stuff first. I would leave engine disassembly alone unless you have done it before

my 250sx did barely the same except it started but ran if choke was on
back fire almost set my 250sx on fire!!!!! there was a lil bit of gas on the engine under the overflow and it started burning
I did not resolve my problem so im tryin to find another 1 that would fit(still thinking and lookin for which 1 ill put on)

does it have good compression? does it have spark?
