View Full Version : Well I picked up 2 more Big Reds. Its a disease I guess.

Well, this guy I know called me up and said that he had two Big Reds he wanted to unload. Both 85s. Well I went over a checked them out. One is pretty nice. Needs rear axle bearings and maybe some other rear work. Diff, axle, shaft etc... Not all of that but one or the other. Anyway. The other dropped a valve. He got all the new parts to fix it, but never did it. Has the tank, seat, and all the other parts that go with it. Im going to use it, the Mad Max looking one with the boat winch on the front as a parts bike, and the other as a restore. Its got a lot of good parts. Anyway. Here they are. This will make 6 or 7 BigReds I have owned. :crazy: Oh yeah, I gave $350 for both bikes.:D

not to bad.. i would give $350 for them anyday.dont forget to post some pics when you have both of them back to oem spec and in mint condition

Prob so. Im going to part the MadMax one out after I get what I need off of it. It will prob fund the other one. Many of its parts are not on it. But I have them. If you need one. Shoot me a PM with a offer, and we will figure it out.

You wouldn't have two extra wheels in excellent shape that you would be interested in selling? Need two to put on the 85 BR I am restoring.

This guy had a really nice 1984 Yellow 225DX for sale. $750 OBO. Nice 125M for $450 and a 110 for cheap also.

I just picked up 2 Big Reds myself. They are 83's. I am going to make one nice one and save the other for parts.I will probably start a new thread soon when I get my other 200e (Yamaha) project rapped up.Allthough there is still the Klt 200 project the 200x project the 175 project the 125m project :crazy:

Yeah, I just sold my 82 BigRed yesterday :( but using my knees for the suspension was not going to happen anymore. I'll get my hands on an 85+ one day when i really put my mind to it. I got the SX to play with for now. Oh, Hell of a deal Clay

Great deal.... the good one looks like it has low hours with them oem tires and all the decals there and not rubbed.....
wish i could find them that good never mind that cheap......

Yeah I just got them home a few minutes ago. I ended up getting sick as a dog yesterday and couldnt pick them up. Im still sick, but I got them home. Yeah the one does appear to be low hour. OEM tires, and they have quite a bit of tread left. Just a little dry rotten. Anyway, It will be a while before Im able to work on them. I have some tank work to do for some friends. Got to get that done first.
