a 83/84 250r axle will work, a stock 83/84 250r axle is the same as a +4 86 200x. You will have to use a 83/84r sprocket(expensive to get in a 38t) and you will have to file down the carrier on the chain adjsut edges some. I use a +4 83/84 250r axle in my 86 200x. Everything works, but the rear sprocket and you need 83/84r axle nuts. If you do go to a +4 83/84r, get 83-85 200x or 83/84r hubs, as the 86/87 hubs are offset and you will be too wide(about 53")

yeah, its not much at all. I think you can use 83/84r carrier to aviod the whole problem. Just be aware that you have to use the sprocket bolts, axle nuts, sprocket. I would get a whole setup(even if the axke is bent, so you have all the parts) and then get the +4 axle and transfer the parts to that. Everything about the 200x rear brakes work. Also you would have to get a 38t(or smaller) sprocket and those are only custom made, sprocket specilties and sidewider sell sprockets that are in the correct tooth count. I don't like sprocket specilties, mine wore out in about 8 hours or riding(about $80), I have about 40 hours on my sidewinder sprocket wilth little wear, but the sidewinder sprocket cost about $120 and was well worth it. It will cost you some money to do the conversion to a 84r axle, but in the end its well worth it.
baisically $500 for the extended axle, figure about $100 for the complete rear end(for the hubs, sprocket bolts, axle nuts and axle end nuts), $120 for the sprocket.
