Alright.. I understand that the last year for the trikes was 87 and Honda probably slowed production down anticipating the outlaw of trikes, but it seems to me there are CONSIDERABLY less 86 and 87's than previous years. I have an 86 200X, and although the Honda dealer is more than happy to sell me new parts, I find 10 times as many used parts for the 83-85 200X than for the 86. Do a search on ebay for 200X and 90% of the results are for the 83-85. From what I understand the 86 has many improvements over the previous years, were there not as many produced than 83-85?

Well as i see that Honda made TONS of 83-85.. They also made alot of 86 200X's and only a handful of 87's in the USA(that got out). You are right they made many improvements on the 86. Including a very nice 6 speed tranny.

Gotta apply a little basic math here, too. It would be reasonable to assume that the 3 year period would probably produce a lot more than a 1 year period of anything.

hey--I'm new here and old an slow but I own an 85 & 86 250SX and there is small diff's between the two. For some reason the '86 has always been alittle smoother and more responsive.
Also own a old 110 and a 125m that I'm getting ready to scrap out when time allows if anyone is interested. I'm new to this "on line" stuff and will have pic's as soon as poss. (have camera need neph. to help) damn shame to be old and out dated.
