I have no idea what pipe this is. Some have said bills...i have no idea. its sectional if you cant tell from the pics.

bcuda said that the silencer was a DG type 1. It has rivets holding the inner piece in.

Is the pipe rare and worth anything all painted up? I think its a high end pipe. I do mostly woods riding, should i go with a lower end pipe?

well the silencer looks to be a DG, all the welds and that small triangle support deal matches my DG to a "T". I think the answer silencers are round?
the pipe however im not sure. lots of those old sectionals don't have names as i come to find out. they are good pipes i think, better than any DG, fmf and stamped crap.

i have one of those too, and it has a good midrange. it doesnt hit very hard and does good in the tight trails and stuff. NO overrev, thats half of the reason why i got rid of it, and i like it to hit hard and come in up high.

thats definetly an old school DG type II silencer. I have one on my 250r and it is exact to that one. The old ones had a pink and yellow DG sticker - you just lost the sticker. The newer ones have the riveted DG tag.

The pipe, I would say it is not a Bills pipe because in my research the bills pipe has a metal tag to identify it on the fat part of the chamber. I am getting a bills for my tecate next week so I have been doing some research on it.

I'd say get the sand paper and wire brush and have at it - paint it a low gloss black and run it. Then paint it again next season when it wears off -thats what i do on all my bikes.
