I have a Bills pipe coming in the mail for me. I actually just purchased it with a 90% new tank, oem shrouds, rad overflow in package and rubber intake in package. These are the parts that everyone is scouring the earth for - so when they were offered to me - i jumped on the opportunity.

My question is on the Bills pipe, the guy i purchased this from says that he only knows of 3 existing units for the 86/87 tecates and I figure that those other two are on this board. What do you think - is he right on on his assumptions? I am sure there are others somewhere.

So - What's a bills pipe worth to the tecate folks. this is the pipe and matching silencer with no dents. I paid good money for it but not too much to possibly resell it for a profit. I also have the oem pipe setup in great condition. I'll have pics later this week when this shipment comes in. :Bounce

He assures me that all parts are in excellent condition with option to return them if not happy.

Hi!!!

That is GREAT FIND.but if you bought them to resale.

the market is not what it use to be.As you people know I'm a big tecate buyer.
The release of the dg exhaust has killed the price of the used pipes.
I'll give you an example of this! I purchase a nos fmf pipe and silencer for $177.00.

Last year you could not touch one for under $300.00 that was dg included.

As for the shrouds Hornetpowersports has made a real nice set.

that will bring down the price! they're not as rare now.

( price=supple+demand)

for example:I just purchase a nos set of rear plastic+a used set of shrouds.
for $275.00.
you can still can big money just have to fined the right person.

the price of gas is not helping either people just are not buying.

Ebay is hurting!! they are looking for new sellers.all the dummy accounts.
seller over charging for shipping.ebay high fees then they charge you a commission on top of that.bid bumping.it has all taking it toll.

thanks for listening!

hey triztunes - thanks for the info. I am going to keep all the parts for my restoration because i need these to complete it. I was hoping i had some kind of rarity with the pipe though and maybe recoop some money from that. Anyways, I couldnt let these parts go when they were offered.

I think you are right on about ebay. Ebay is retail these days. Not many deals left out there and the price gouging on 250r stuff is ridiculous.

either i keep for a few years and see how the trike market goes or i will have a kick ass high revving tecate. So either way i won't lose out.

thanks.

yeah ebay is suckin bad latelly, especially in the tecate department. i got into an argument with a guy trying to sell a dg pipe for 299.99. yeah it was new, and he tryed telling me that dg was sold out and you couldnt get the pipes anywheres. well thanks to all the great people on this site i found one for a great price, half of what this chaplin kawasaki guy was selling his for. and when i emailed him to tell him where i could find a new dg pipe for half of what he was offering it for, he never returned my email. you can still find good deals on ebay, but they seem to becoming harder and harder to find. i post on here now first before having to turn to ebay to buy somethng. alot more honest people on here then ebay. good find for your tecate, bet its going to be nice.
