Ok I need new swingarm bearings for my Tecate 3. Stock is TA2030.
TA= taperred
20=diameter
30=length
I believe.
I don't want to spend too much and Honda TRX250R/ATC250R/300ex bearings are HK2030.
So what's the HK stand for? What's different compared to TA2030?

Well, I just found the HK2030 are 26mm Outer Diameter and the TA2030 are 27mm OD. So the HK2030 do not replace TA2030.

I never tried the actual parts and I'm not a bearing expert but Googling bearings shows:
Outer diameter is different.
HK 2030 = 20mm ID, 30mm W, 26mm OD
TA 2030 = 20mm ID, 30mm W, 27mm OD
TA series are the heavy duty version of TLA series.
HK series are the regular duty version of HMK bearings.
HMK 2030 is the same size as a TA 2030 20x30x27
HK 2030 is the same size as a TLA 2030 20x30x26
It looks like both the HK and TA series are drawn cup shell needle bearings. I can't tell you what the difference is except maybe one is US standard and the other is a global standard?
I don't believe TA needle bearings are tapered.

.
you can buy them here for $9.00 each but they are likely Chinese.

partzilla claims they have them for $12.00
you can buy them direct from china so you at least know they are Chinese and they are $1.20 each with a 5 item minimum.

the ta does not mean tapered bearings . . no mfg uses tapered bearings for swing arms . . those are for automotive wheel bearings and steering stem bearing upgrade from all balls etc.
ta series are small diameter rollers . . hk are larger diameter rollers.
There is no cross reference for a ta bearing . . if you need a ta bearing you must buy a ta bearing.
They are both drawn cup type bearings meaning they have an external shell/housing unlike a piston needle bearing which does not.

Hmm..guess I will try to stick to OEM IKO Japan bearings. They sell for like $25 a pair right now. I got some for $20.
