I sent my senator a letter about the possible outlaw of the riding of 3 wheeled ATV's and this is what he sent me back:

How do I respond to this one? It's not bad, but not really good at the same time. He seams to have a really nuetral stance....... show me some statistics to send him and such!
Thanks guys!!

We'll they're totally wrong aren't they??? Haven't deaths risen a ton since 88? I would research the statistics and write a rebuttal demanding a proper response based on facts.

Highlighting the fact that there are more injuries now then there use to be might not be a good idea  Unless you can prove and make sure he understands that they are related to in the increase in volume of sales.

yeah that's what I'm thinking???? He must mean on just 3 wheeled ATV's right?? Since the popularity of ATV's has increased imensly how could deaths drop?? I think I'll quote this letter and send it back to him after I have a ton of facts to back me up......:beer :w00t:
If he think's he's getting off that easy he's nuts!!

I wouldn't point out the higher death rate. Let him be incorrect on that one. Ignorance is bliss.
Just make sure he understands that your concern is not about allowing three wheelers to be produced and sold again (since it ain't never gonna happen anyway), just that your rights to operate the 20 year old machine you already own will not be infringed upon.

yeah pointing out "There are lots more people dying on them nowadays!!" may not be the best approach. I think Dammit has a good start for you posted above
