if u need a new switch assembly thing (headlight kil start choke) get the one for a 2006 trx 450 its an exact bolt on replacement no mods nothing plug it in and go!

Are you sure? I know they bolt up nicely and everything plugs in but from what I know about the other TRX ones is the off/on switch is backwards. So when you have it in the off position it will start and when you have it on it wont. Let me know if this is the case.

idk tht much cuz i just ordered one for my resto of my 85 and it looks identical so hey im cool lol but ill let yea kno in a week or so when it gets here

Well just remember when you install it and cant get your trike started, put it in the OFF position and start her up haha:lol: . The cool thing about that, is someone tries to steal your big red, they wouldnt be able to get it started in the ON position.

Those pins in the plug do come out. If it is reversed, I'd just reverse the 2 pins and it will still be a great stock setup with no cut wires...

You could put a relay somewhere on the trike and make that switch work. Let me know if you need a diagram of how to hook it up.

Well atleast it works. If you had no other replacement, why not use it.

hey can you hook me up with that diagram, as i have a 350x with a 350 4x4 switch gear(for my goki starter) and the on off switch is wrong.
it would be a great help.

Guys all you have to do is change the guts out of that switch. Everything will be fine then. Use your old Guts with the new hardware and harness. Not rocket science. I have done it twice.

I think he means more than one machine sir. HAHAHA:lol: :lol:

I too have swapped the "guts" out of mine and put them in a new trx switch.
