Ok, i know there are a lot of opinions on this subject, but thats not the point....My friend had a 200x and installed a roost boost and it really worked! My friend forgot where he got his......I wanted to know where to get one for a 200x

My goal is hotter spark at high rpm's....What else is there for a 1985 200x?

What a waste of money.....

Roost boost is simply a step up transformer. It uses the orignal spark traveling on a set of coils, to induce spark onto another set of smaller coils, (thats how a transformer works) to step the voltage UP. Well that is fine and dandy, EXCEPT for the fact that as you step voltage up you lose amperage.

Voltage is the power that allows the spark to jump the gap, but amperage is the intesity of the spark.

digger is right !! Back in the day "ANSWER" had them for sell for the 250's...
we try'd them and lost some top power and or speed .. kinda "fell" off abit
But on the 200x thingy ... adjust your valves to the tight side and advance it abit .. 4 stroker's like that stuff ...
