they are pretty good tires. depends on what kind of riding you do. do you play around in dunes or sand pits? get paddles, if you are a trail rider like myself, just get a really good tire with an aggressive tread. also remember the "ply of the tires is somewhat important. the higher the "ply" the stronger the tire. alot of trail tires are 4 and 6 "ply" which is fine so they dont pop when you run something over.

get 4 ply Turf Tamers. They seem to be the best all around 18" tire

Kenda makes a great product. I trail ride only and bought a set of Viper's which Kenda offers. 6ply with good sidewall knobs at an affordable price. I can say these tires have worn like steel. I've never had 1 problem or complaint except they can be grippy and harder to slide. I believe they are the best all around trail/mud/rock and root tire I've ever run. I like the new Knarly's tread pattern and would have no problem buying from Kenda again. I have Maxxis's on my YZf 426 and they seem to be holding up as well. 6 ply c6001 a directional tread pat with fat knobbys. They get outstanding traction too. If the discount price compaired to the dunlops doesn't intrest you. I think you'll find each Co.'s tires will equal or exceed the Dunlops.

I'm not saying they are but those look really close to the stock 400EX tires. I know for a fact that the stock 400 tires do very well in the trails. if you do a lot of trail riding stick with 20" tires. they are still a lower profile tire compared to stock but they also allow more ground clearence than 18"chers.

turf tamers? they are ok, they are only knobbies(sp?) but i would go with something more aggressive. i think blackwaters are nice. maxxis are pretty good too.
