Hey, I got a new plastic gas tank for my 1984 Honda 200M. I took the petcock off of my old one and put it on the new one. I noticed there was still an orange thing sticking out inside of the old tank. I couldnt get it out, so I just left it. I was just wondering what that is and if I need it in the new tank? Thanks.

they tend to swell up sometimes .....you might be able to push it in the tank and get it out through the gas cap hole

Get an inline filter to go between the tank and the carb..

Is this possibly the reserve flange however ?

Hey guys. I just looked in my manual (probably should have done that first), and it is definitely the fuel filter. Since I cant get it out, what should I do? With the inline one, are those pretty standard (Like bought at parts stores)? How important is the fuel filter? Thanks.

I'm currently running 2 inline filters... i got them at Walmart to try and help filter out sediment from my tank... They don't hurt anything.
