My black Short Track 250r pics

Inspired by Brandons black OTC 250r im making a black short track machine from my '85,here's a few pics so far :pics:

New black Maier fenders (picked these up on my recent US trip)
New black HRC factory tank.
UFO KX250F front plate.
1989 TRX swinger.
Lone Star +4 Axle.
CT Pipe (need chrome job ASAP)


To do list,

Remove blue fork boots and install black fork skins (Thanks B)
Install my repro black tank shrouds
Install durablue rear lowering strut (Ordered and on the way)
Install decal kit
Black seat with a second colour(undecided yet what to do here)
Maybe a little more chrome..bling bling

What about a black and grey seat like on some YFZ450s. It would match the striping on the fenders

Hows it going anyway aussieduner, noticed that you weren't on the site for a while, thought you'd fallen off the face of the earth. Sounds like you nearly did.... so how was the Trike Fest you freak and I thought I had a trike fettish.

Im good mate i had an excellent 3 weeks in the US,travelled to 5 states and met some cool people.The trike fest was great i camped with the Ohio crew who took good care of me,drank beer,ate BBQ,rode trikes quads etc what more could you ask..LOL Im currently preping all my machines for some serious riding this spring/summer,less working on them more riding including the Pilot !

It is a nice seat,brand new 85 cover on it to,ive got another that needs a new one so that will be the black seat i think.

Its pretty much a new powder job on the frame when it was all red little while back so im staying with it at the moment.Hey did you get me email re the cover shipping date ?

i would not recomend the 89 trx swingarm. that thing will wheelie way to much. all the guys i used to race with that ran atc250r's before they outlawed them ran stock swingarms or +2's for flattrack
