Just out of curiousity, are there any original owners on the site? Some who walked into a Honda shop back in the day and said Ill take the blue one and still has it. Or yamaha or kawasaki for that matter.

Well back in 1984, I went on the showroom and picked up a new 84 200x. I was in heaven on that sucker til in I saw the new look that the 87's were gonna have. So something happened to my 84 (hehe) and I had to go buy the 87. I was at the dealer as they delivered the 87 models in Aug of 86. They brought the crate down and I said I will take that one. The dealer said, you dont want to see it first.........I said nope, already seen pics so put it together for me! hehe Man those were the days.

Moved from cali and was sold in 1987.

When I was 13 my parents got my brother and I brand new 1985 200Ss for Christmas. I rode it nearly every day for 5 years and then took off for college. Ten years later I pulled it out, put on new rubber and cables, and had a friend tear the motor down. It started on the first pull, and I rode it for another 5 years. I primarily ride my Big Red now only because of the rear suspension, but the "S" is still in the garage. Here is what it looks like now.

I had an 84' 200S that I bought new and a month later, saw the brochure for the new 85' 250R and ordered it right then. I gave the sales guy the whole 8 bucks that I had in my pocket to hold it until I could come back with more cash. I wish I still had them both.

I got a brand new 1978 ATC90 for Christmas when I was 10. Modified it over the years with a 108cc kit, Big Al's cam, PK header, and Goodyear tires. I had the 90 until 1985 when I got a brand new 200X (85) at 16. Modified it many times over the years and still have it but it is basically my wifes now as I have an 86 Tecate bought 2nd hand in 1989.

I do. My folks bought a KLT 200 in '82 (I think) and in '86 we traded it in for a new Tecate. Currently, it resides in my shed awaiting funds for the rebuild. (Which, by the way, is the reason I joined this forum.) Lots of good info here and some awesome bikes!

You said it... I'd start with replacement plastic for the Tecate, my first car ('72 Chevelle SS), tapes of old TV shows (Stingray, The Fall Guy), a slim waistline...

Still the original owners of our 70 and 90. I think we bought a total of 6 new trikes, the other 4 were racers, 2 flat, 2 mx. Those were ordered from the factory race ready... I think around $4700 each (ouch). And as of tonight, I might have a lead on one of those that we owned. I heard one of the others is at the bottom of the Illinois river near Joliet :(

my dad bought an atc70 when I was about six, Christmas of 1st grade, still own it to this day. I think it is an 82/83. It is kept at a long time family friends house and don't see it but every 2 months or so. Even then, I just glance at it in the back of the barn. there are 2 70s there and a 185 along with a 86 big red.
Those were the days, I remember going to the honda dealer here back then and just being in awe! Taking home the brochures and just staring at them for hours.

I bought a '81 110, '85 200X, and my '86 250R from Pasadena Honda's showroom floor. I sold the 110 to my dad, and he still has it. The 200X was sold in late 1985, and I still have the 250R.

We purchased 2 110's (1979 ? and a 1983) a 1981 200 and a 1985 200M all new. I remember going through the show room and looking at all the bigger machines and just beeing in ahh. (I was just a little guy then) I remember the Blue 110 sitting next to mine when we pulled our red one off the floor. We had a front and rear rack installed along with the Honda fairing on the little 110. (I wish I had just the fairing with the clear windsheild along with the optional Black race shield!) Like some of you I had ALL the brochures from 1980 to 1987 at one time, all gone now. I am happy to see the brochure site here now, brings many great memories back!!

Thank You everyone on this websight for helping me remember the best days of my life!

Even though I went in many shops back in the day, and owned many 3-wheelers back then, I got nearly all of them used.

I've been the original owner of an '86 Tri-Z. A local dealer ran an ad in a newspaper back in the summer of 1987 selling all his left over 3-wheelers real cheap. He had new '85 Z's for $1295, and '86's for $1495. I called him and told him to put me an '86 together.
I also owned an '85 350X that was only a week out of the showroom due to the fact that the kid it was bought for couldn't crank it. It had only been ridden twice. I was 12 and I cranked it.

I've bought several new dirt bikes and a new '85 Quadsport.

Sorry to dig up a 2+ year old thread but I thought this was interesting. My dad is the original owner of his three wheeler. It's been a few years and I can't remember what it is exactly but it's a mid-80's 200ES or Big Red I think. My mom and dad have a picture of my dad and I on it when I was real little. Some of my best childhood memories are riding it with my brother and dad. It was in mint condition up until the late '90's when my brother started riding it by himself. It was in good condition at that time but not as nice as it once was as he didn't take real good care of it. Dad doesn't have any need or want for it anymore so he wants me to have it. Now to get it the 900+ miles here and fix what's wrong with it.

My aunt bought a Honda 350 Fourtrax and a Yamaha 3-wheeler for my uncle but all us kids were the only ones to ride them and they bought them brand new and still are on their ranch. They are all in shitty condition now though, I wanna go out there and restore them. I can't remember what model Yamaha it was, I believe it was 250cc and was yellow and had suspension.
