this is my 1985 tecate. It has Dunlops all the way around, a FAT front tire, and some cool rears that I have heard someone say belong on an 86 model. You Tecate experts tell me..... Is this a super clean 100% original or just a nicely maintained slightly modified trike. I've only ridden it mabey 4 times, and that was around the yard, mostly just bought it cause it was there, and another addition to the collection.

Here's my 84 Frame, minus motor.... :-D
Holic, your rear tires are definitely 86 model. It is a much better looking setup than the 85. 86 Tires are the Dunlop KT737. 85 is Dunlop KT460. The front tire on your 85 should be a KT461 and the KT460 was practically identicle. stock 84/85s appear to have the same tires all the way around. 85 and 86 Tecate do have the same rear rims. The rim and tire combo is a simple interchange between 85 and 86. You also probably have an 84 rear fender, because the "250" logos on the side are 84 flavor. But the fender itself, there is no difference between 84 and 85. I bet the rest is 85, except the pipe. It's an after market. Stock seat cover for the red and the green 85 was blue (84 was black) and the frame black.
So, it's not a super clean all original Tecate. It's a very nicely maintained, slightly modified Tecate.
